Villa Daniel (aka: Pinova Vila) Zrenjanin
This villa was built in 1894 by Leon Steigerwald, and since then it changed a lot of owners. Bought and sold countless times, it was finally nationalized in 1959. Since then it was used by a number of state institutions, until being finally abandoned.
The present state of the villa can only be described as depressing, and it's no wonder that it served as a setting for the independent artists imitative called "Muzej Destrukcije" (Museum of Destruction). In this project, the villa was used to house a special exhibition intended to warn the society of the neglect for the city of Zrenjanin and many other social problems. It spawned a lot of discussions and a lot of articles have been posted on the Web, but the exhibition itself is fading slowly and merging with the decay of its home...
